“How come you got the cook fuckin’ aisle?!” She scoffed playfully and giggled. “It really would be a magical experience for finding something else, granted the salt was a good find…” she trailed off “Hey, there’s gotta be a storage room in here somewhere. We should check that out too.” She said picking up book of the shelf and stuffing them in her duffle. “Never know their might be some pepper packets or somethin like that back there.” She shrugged.

He chuckled and nodded in agreement. “Alright, let’s check it out.” He readied his bow with a licorice whip hanging from his mouth. He quickly made his way to the back of the store and opened the door leading to the back. He was expecting to see a few walkers back here, seeing as how it’s where some of the workers would most likely be. He looked at the big crates all aroud. Some of them were just rotting fruits and veggies and others were packs of deodorant and other toiletries.

She peaked into the storeroom behind Daryl “God it smells like ass in here.” She gave a disgusted look “Oh wow… deodorant…” She jumped about excited “I think we need to take this back to camp for sure.” She sighed “I think the ladies, especially, will be happy about this pack.” She knew she was, she sure as hell didn’t like smelling like a pig just after his mud bath all day. She minded her steps, hoping to not step on anything rotten on the way, and headed further back into the storage room.

He examined a few more crates before following her quietly. “See anything yet?” He asked, whispering. He saw more crates, most of them filled with useless things and spoiled foods. “Davan, I’m not seein’ any spices. Maybe we should head back. Don’t wanna be gone from camp too long and we still got the rest of the town ta explore.”

She nodded “Alright then, lets hit the next place then.” She smirked, pausing a moment to get another glance of the store room as if something would pop out in front of her. She sighed. “We’re having a bit more luck than I expected though.” She bit her lip. “Where to next?”

He nodded and turned back to head out the way they had come. “Drug store. Don’t worry, its right next ta the police department,” he chuckled and winked at her. “I’m surprised we haven’t seen any walkers, y’know?” He smiled happily and looked over his shoulder at her.

She smirked “Oh is it now?” and raised her brow playfully “What about the bar? We gonna hit that up as well?” She grinned briefly, until his mention of the walkers “Yeah…” she bit her lip “I won’t lie that actually makes me kind of nervous.” she chuckled “It shouldn’t but it does.”

She grabbed the cans and stuck them in her duffle “Hun, what did you expect… Apocalypse remember.” She sighed, checking down the aisle she was on. “So far nothin’ over here.” She frowned “I’m gonna have to start scouring the woods for plants or somethin’ we could all start eatin’…. Wish I would’ve payed attention to my Grams when she was out tending to her garden and stuff….” she trailed off a moment, trying to see if she could see anything on the top shelf “Might’ve come in handy now.” She gave an embarrassed giggled.

Daryl rounded a corner and got a big smile on his face. “Fuck yeah!!” He said out loud as he nearly sprinted for a bag of licorice whips. “Check this out!!” He tore into the bag and pulled one out, immediately cramming it into his mouth. “Mmmm,” he said happily as he chewed it. “Want one?” He held the bag out to her and smiled. “I love these things.” He took another and chewed it a bit slower and enjoyed the taste of it.

She nearly fell off the counter she was climbing up to see the top shelf as her startled her with his excitement, she narrowed her eyes at him “Depends,” she paused “They red or black licorice whips?” she giggled “Oh hey look!” she grinned finding a can of veggies and a container of salt. She held them up “Look like your prayers have been answered hun.” she wiggled the salt container at him and hopped off the counter.

“Black, the best ones!” He took one out and waved it in her face, as if it would make her want to take one. When she held the salt up, he smiled. “Alright, good find little lady!” He looked around and picked up a package of peachy-o’s. “Ugh… gross.” He tossed them back on the floor and looked around for other candies as he snacked on the licorice whips.

She made a disgusted face “Nah, you can have the black licorice…” She scoffed “Hey, peachy-o’s!!” She furrowed her brow “You better give me those.” She giggled, rolling her eyes at the disgust in his voice. “Anything else good over there hun?” she called from her aisle “I’m hopin ta find some more spices in here..” She bit her lip as she browsed what was left of the store.

He picked the peachy-o’s back up and tossed them to her. “I found some melted chocolate… Some Ho-Hos…. OH! Hey! I found some gummy worms!” He smiled like a big kid and picked up two packs. “Score!” He called out, not paying any mind to how loud he was being. “If we find spices that’ll be the icing on the cake, huh?”

"How come you got the cook fuckin’ aisle?!" She scoffed playfully and giggled. She stood adjusting the duffle on her back and pulled out knife in case she needed to protect herself. “Alright, lead the way.” she said just as quietly back. She was nervous, the last time she had been into a town it had been swarming with Walkers. “Where do we wanna head to first?” She smirked as she eyed the bar, she knew she was going to have to hit that up before she left.

He chewed his lip as he thought for a moment. “Let’s start at the opposite end a’ the street and work our way up. That way we can get a good layout a stuff and pick through which stores we wanna loot faster.” He started walking towards the other end of the street, always looking around and keeping his eyes peeled for anything that could be a potential threat to their safety.

“Sounds good ta’ me.” She smirked as she followed him down the street, “Think there’s a lot of Walkers still roamin’ around here?” she asked. She didn’t want to seem nervous, but she didn’t know if she was covering it up well. As they neared the end of the street she kept an eye out for potential stores that they could loot, she made a list in her mind of where she might want to go. “First things first, should we check out the places with food and things?”

He shrugged. “I guess we’ll find out.” He walked down the littered street and took note of the stores and things around him. “Yeah, food first. Then we can get those cuffs.” He smirked and winked at her. “Alright,” he murmured as they reached the end of the street. “Let’s hit that small store over there and see if we can’t get some canned stuff. Then we’ll move over ta that drug store. Sound good?”

She bit her lip at the mention of the cuffs “Sounds good ta’ me. Lead the way captain tight pants.” She smirked, she decided she liked that little nickname she had given him. And followed him first into the small general store “Hopefully we will get lucky and find something.” She spoke quietly to him, she couldn’t help but glance at his back side. She shook her head and continued forward, gripping her knife she needed to be prepared for anything.

He chuckled and shook his head at her little nickname for him. “Yeah, hopefully. But seein’ as how we’re a few weeks into this whole mess, it might already be looted. So don’t get yer hopes up.” He slowly opened the door and inspected the immediate surroundings inside the store. Seeing there were no walkers or other dangers, he stepped inside and waved for her to follow. “Keep yer eyes peeled.”

“I always keep my eyes peeled, hun.” She smirked, following him into the store. “I’m not getting my hopes up for anything… it would just be nice ta bring something back other than handcuffs.” She flashed a glance at him and smiled. She minded where the walked, hoping not to make any noises incase a walker was roaming about the store. She knew he was right, they probably wouldn’t find much. But it was worth a shot.

Daryl roamed the aisles and picked up a few undamaged cans, handing them to Davan. He wished there were some sweets around. It had been so long since he had eaten sweets. He picked through a few more aisles, finding only a few more cans. “This sucks…” He muttered sourly.
